When we got Sophie, one of the biggest reasons why we got a puppie was so that the puppy and Marielle could grow up together. Sophie seems to be growing a bit faster than Marielle, but they are definitely both still toddlers, and love growing up together. Over the last few weeks, Marielle has become more and more aware of Sophie lounging around the house. Back when Marielle was first starting to walk, she would bring Sophie chew toys and pet her occasionally. Lately, she lays on the floor with her, feeds her treats, gives her kisses in the morning, and sometimes tries to pluck out her eyes
(Sophie doesn't seem to mind). Sophie is so gentle with her, and Marielle is pretty good too except for the excessive interest in Sophie's eyes. It's really cute watching them together.

We say that every boy needs a dog....I guess every girl does too! Nathan LOVES Sandy as well. Currently he will crawl over to her at warp speed when she is laying on her bed and he gets right up in her face, turns his head and smiles at her, and then proceeds to grab her nose/snout. He thinks its hysterical when she shakes her ears or scratches her ears with her paws. Lately we ask him if he wants to "come over and pet Sandy" and he speeds over and proceeds to pat her...usually gently. Tonight he decided it was fun to pull on her fur and watch how much hair comes out. On the days that Im at the end of my rope with Sandy, I remember how much Nathan loves her and that buys her a little compassion. That and when I go upstairs and find Sandy sleeping right in front of Nathan's crib definitely scores her some points. :)
