While I'm sure that the plummeting price of a gallon of gas is a harbinger of the economic doom that is to come, part of me is now giddy with excitement to fill my gas tank. Over the last few months, I've taken my car to the brink of empty because it irked me so to watch my 15-gallon tank approach $60 to fill. I can't even imagine how you SUV drivers out there felt. Viv and I had started carpooling a few days a week and even with the rock bottom prices (it's sad to think that $2 is rock bottom; when I started driving gas was like 95 cents/gal) I think were going to continue this. Partly because of the savings and partly because I like looking over and watching Viv sleep with her mouth wide open on our way into Boulder.
Q: What kinds of things did you guys do to adjust to 4-dollar-gas and will you keep doing them now that demand and price has dropped?

No, we joke about Viv sleeping in the car all of the time. Obviously, talking would equate to good quality time for us, but I like that she gets this opportunity to catch a little bit more sleep.
Viv works really hard both at home and at work.

I LOVED the last line, that made me laugh. As I was reading it I thought it was going to be something like "because I love spending time with my wife" but nope....it was even better than that. ;)
As far as the gas price....uh, yeah, were still paying $4.06 so.....it KILLS me that we have to pay double over here, I dont feel like our COLA is offsetting this!
Your cars run on Soda Pop? Do you notice any mpg differences for regular vs. diet? Is Pepsi Max like premium high octane?
