You are Talking to Yourself

Yesterday I asked Marielle to do something for me several times. When she didn't respond I asked her if she was listening to me, to which she said:

"No, I think you're talking to yourself."

I put Marielle in timeout for talking back to her mom, but I have to admit that I thought her comment, which she thought was honest, was funny.
