I have been soooooo sick this weekend. It started on Friday when I was feeling tired and a little under the weather. I assumed I was just exhausted and needed to sleep. When I woke up on Saturday I felt like total crap. I was extremely nauseous, had a headache, the chills, and my whole body was achy. Marc was not at all sympathetic. "You just need to eat something." he says. Hello! I feel nauseous, I don't think eating is going to help that. To appease him, however, I let him buy me some Jamba Juice. Marc had insisted on going to get me something to eat even though I told him I didn't feel like eating anything. Long story short, the Jamba Juice didn't make it more than a few minutes. Marc's response "It's cause you have to eat something more substantial." Anyway, we had a wedding to go to on Saturday evening. After not being able to hold down even water I decided that perhaps we should not go and expose everyone to the serious on the brink of death illness that I had. Anyway, today I woke up feeling a little better. I'm not quite up to normal strength, but come tomorrow I think I'll be there. By the way, this morning I received more "awesome" sympathy from Marc. I slept in because I still feel sick and Marc's response was "you need to get moving." Hello! I DO NOT FEEL WELL. Anyway, in a little bit I'll post some updated pictures of the squirt and talk about happier news than my illness. As Winnie the Pooh says "Good Bye for Now."
P.S. When I ran spell check it told me to replace Marc with Marcia. I thought about doing it cause I thought it would be funny. But perhaps that is the illness talking.

You poor thing, the stomach flu is horrible. I am glad to hear you are feeling better, take care of yourself and get lots of sleep.

On the brink of death? Really? If I didn't know any better, I'd say this story was destined for primetime headline news.
Anyway, what Viv calls lack of sympathy, I call analytical thinking. I know my wife, and with her always putting Marielle first, and her busy schedule, and picky appetite, lack of sustenance was the most likely culprit. I was just trying to give some simple, sound advice. Also, ask Viv how much water she drank yesterday.
She didn't mention it in the blog (BTW, nice job getting the strength together to blog), but she was greatful for some of the stuff I went out and got her. Oh well though.
I already said that I felt better today and blogging does not require an immense amount of energy. At least I can count on my friends for sympathy. Thanks Colette. Lets be honest when I feel sick I don't want "sound advice," I want a little caring and compassion. BTW only last night when Marc felt my head did he actually recognize that I was really sick and that "lack of sustenance" as he calls it was not the culprit. "No wonder you have the chills" he said. Yes no wonder, that is what having the flu will do to you. Anyway, back to work.
After feeling her forehead, I went and made her a Theraflu. No, I did not just leave it in kitchen for her to get herself. I hand delivered it to her with love. I then tucked her blanket close around her neck to make sure she was comfortable. She smiled, and said I was the best!
I must have been delirious last night because I remember the bringing of Theraflu, but no tucking in and no "Marc you are the best" comment. Anyway, I don't contend that Marc didn't do anything to make me feel better yesterday, my main complaint is the lack of sympathy. Anyway, Marc you are the best and I am grateful for the Theraflu it actually helped a ton. For anyone who has the flu Theraflu and Saltines are the best.
P.S. How funny is blogging. Marc and I are sitting right next to eachother and instead of talking are communicating via blogging. I guess that's technology for you.
Im not sure what I can add to this.....you guys pretty much covered it. You got some good laughs from this side of the pond this morning!
Vivian I hope you feel better. And please dont bring your infectious disease to Japan. Arrigato. :) Especially because there is no jamba juice here, but according to PC they do have slurpees.
Blogging promotes communication with your loved ones. Or at least it allows both parties to get a sentance out without one (usually the wife) cutting the other off (usually the husband).
Anyway, back to the problem at hand. See...the issue here is the difference between a man and a woman. (NOTE: I've been censored by Lisa because apparently my comment is inappropriate, so here's the clean version) A man wants logic and order. A woman wants compassion and love. Because Viv's down for the count, Marc needs to think like a man AND a woman in order to make up for the lack of a Vivian. Those are tough shoes to fill! Can you handle it?
Well...it's Monday here so that means it's time for work!! Boooooooooooo.
umm, try getting sympathy from a husband with a plethora of medical knowledge. every symptom is either belittled or expected! have you ever heard the story of when i was practically dying when i was pregnant with lacy...sure it ended up being just heartburn (which i'd never had before) but cliff was very pitiless and insensitive. i'll never let him forget it;)
Any day you guys wanna sit down at the freaking computer and put up another blog entry for us to read. Do you think that the world stands still while you guys are out doing things? Come on...it's been a week already!
