My friend Lisa says that I (Vivian) don't post enough about my day to day life. So to make Lisa happy I am going to post a blog, sans picture, about something that happened yesterday. Yesterday Marielle and I went running in the evening, which is apparently the time when everybody gets outside. In the morning when I go running I don't end up seeing anybody, which is kind of nice and peaceful. The afternoon, however, is a different story. Yesterday everybody and their brother were outside going for a walk. The trail outside our house is one big loop. I usually run the loop and then take another part of the trail to a golf course near our house. Yesterday it was getting dark so I decided to just make loops around the trail because it is so close to home. So here I am with all these differing groups of people. Single men walking their dog, single women walking their dog, couples walking their dog, and some people just walking (yes without a dog). Because I was running and they were walking I ended up lapping these people several times during my run. The silly part is I felt really good lapping all those people. Every time I would pass someone I would think he he I am faster than you. But of course I am faster than them. I am running and they were walking. Nonetheless I felt a little bit of pride each time that I passed them by. Even a couple of the people commented on how fast "we" were. Ok, first of all Marielle is not doing any of the running. Second of all, I am not fast. Yes, I did lap the walkers several times, but had any one of them decided to start running I surely would have been left in the dust. I am sure even the 70 year old couple who were walking could beat me in a running race. I was just laughing to myself thinking about having a running race with the 70 year old couple. That's all for now. P.S. I hope you enjoyed Lisa : )

Arigato gozaimasu. I like hearing your stories. Maybe its good you arent any faster because then Marielle really would need her crash helmet. What does she do in the stroller while you run?? Nathan totally lays back and takes it all in. Especially since we have gotten the jogging stroller where he just sits a little more reclined-- to steal your term he looks like hes chillin like a Japanese villain.

Basically, Marielle leans forward in the stroller and wails like a police siren. Cars swerve to the roadsides, and people generally get out of the way.

Actually, this is Marc and I'm joking.

The one time I actually ran with her (yes only once) she seemed to really enjoy the scenery changing and spent the rest of the time trying to take her hat off. That's all I remember because I spent the rest of the time keeping Sophie from pulling us into traffic. She really is the good girl described in the poem, but I will never go running with both her and Marielle at the same time again.

Viv we know how fast you are. What is it about a 12 minute mile? Did the people walking have shells on their backs?(you know, like turtles).

Alex loves to go jogging with us. He just takes it all in, and at some time the motion lulls him into a nap. And yes I'll(Geoff) admit it, our favorite place to run is the Mt. Hope Cemetary. Nicest roads in Bangor!

Yes, Viv always times her runs with Marielle's nap times.
